Does Poker Playing make you Short, Fat and Ugly?

poker game
What a weird and almost derogatory question to ask especially if you are a poker player. Putting aside hurt feelings though it’s a valid question. Individuals that are playing poker on a consistent basis can run the risk of hurting their overall general health. Just like any other activity that one participates in there are guidelines that should be taken into consideration. I also might mention that although the title is somewhat of a cliché, each one of these points has some value. Let me explain….

Can poker playing make you short?

Well, according to research whenever anyone is sitting for long periods of time their posture is greatly affected. Without getting into a medical debate as to whether it actually causes you to shrink or not it definitely has some affect on your height if poor posture habits are adopted. In fact, there are many online programs now designed to increase your height.

Anyone that plays online poker, for example, will spend hours upon hours glued to their chair if they are in a tournament or an important game. In fact, it’s not likely their little aches and pains are even given any attention because of the concentration the poker game is demanding.

So the question does playing poker make your short? Not likely but it would be a good idea to get up and stretch a bit once in awhile. Not just for the sake of your stature, but to improve your body circulation and stimulate your brain.

Can Playing Poker Make You Fat?

Any constant activity that stops you from getting any exercise can cause you to gain weight and that includes Poker. That doesn’t mean that one should shy away from playing as much poker as they want. It means taking into account that time has to be slotted for exercise and proper eating. If you are the type that sits in front of your computer playing poker and have the habit of constantly nibbling on something that’s fine as long as its fruits and nuts or raw veggies. If its chips and chocolates your headed for problems.

Can Playing Poker Make You Ugly?

Hmm. Are we referring to looks or temper here? Actually a little of both and one affects the other. Let’s face it when we have lost a good game of poker due to maybe our own stupidity or even the stupidity of others it makes us a little ugly. Once the temper flares, the scowl takes over our natural good looks. So does Poker make you ugly? Yes sometimes, but then so can anything else in life.

So although we approached the subject of your health and Poker somewhat lightly the bottom line is simply using common sense. Exercise, eat healthy and keep those upsets in perspective. If one really thinks about it Poker is probably an excellent activity for the mind. It keeps it constantly thinking and active. At least that’s one part of the body that’s getting some great exercise.

Poker players aren’t unattractive at all, I play and I’m damm fine lol not to mention some of the hunks that play in the wsop. Take things in moderation and get off your backside to make sure you don’t get fat and take care of your appearance and it’ll be fine.

Level of skill may be the most important thing to consider when picking a poker room. they attract a lot of brand new poker players, and the overall strength of the competition is much softer. Some online poker rooms offer better bonuses than others do. If a player is on the borderline of being a profitable player, picking a room with larger bonuses could push him over the threshold or profitability. If a player is interested in playing mixed games, Many sights nowadays only offer Hold Em games, so players must do proper research before choosing, to avoid fat .

people tend to play poker like they live their life. So watching how they dress and speak or interact with others is a definite clue as to what kind of poker player they seems. Their manner of dress is a clue. See a guy in a suit that is neatly pressed his tie is on not loosened. You are likely looking at a player, however if you see a guy in a suit, his ties is loosened his suit is wrinkled up he is more likely to be loose and gamble. So we say poker players are neat and geniune.

wearing sunglasses at the table can also help players feeling intimidated themselves. The screen over their eyes protects against possible and reads by the experts, importantly it allows them to hide at the table. If you’re covering up your face with sunglasses and a low hat, you can almost become invisible and anonymous at the table. This effect on those playing their first tournament or new live players entering an intimidating major event filled with hawk-eyed professionals like the World Series of Poker Main Event.so wearing sunglasses don’t appear ugly

Most importantly, players need to look confident, relaxed, and comfortable in what they are wearing. To achieve the unique, bright, or trendy look that it seems some players are trying for without looking like you stepped off an Ed Hardy shoot, pairing every color of the rainbow.Poker playes always look confident.

the best poker player look would be something casual and comfortable like a jeans. While pieces of personal flavor are esteemed, over the top clothing and accessories distract me from the game. That look seems to be not ugly I think.

I don’t think that anyone can solely blame poker for their bad looks, I think people just like to make stereotypes really and others just like to find an excuse for their lack of exercise and general hygeine.

I play online poker, it’s the only way I play poker at the moment, I play daily, I enter plenty of online tournaments which last for hours upon hours, I enjoy the online tournaments because I can’t sit still for that long, In online tournaments I can stand up when ever I please and stretch my legs unlike in a brick and mortar style tournament.
