Some people just can’t accept that they are a novice at anything and that includes poker. It’s not hard to tell the novice, as soon as they walk in a poker room, but when playing online poker it may take a few moments. You can get bet though as soon as this newbee types something in the chat box he is going to be spotted for what he really is, which is a rookie!
This type of player doesn’t just join in the chat by a friendly introduction. No, he’s the guy that’s got to sit there writing for ten minutes about how many games he has won and how his strategy playing is a sure thing. Right away that tells the experienced players in the room that the guy will be doing good if he can even tell the difference between the suites of the cards, let alone play a good game of poker.
What the novice is trying to do here is really psyche out the other players but what he is accomplishing is making a fool of himself. He’s already tipped his hand at how aggressive he’s going to be with his bluffing.
So do the seasoned players get offended or upset by this type of player? The answer to this is yes and no. The no part because they know they have one less player to worry about. It’s without a doubt this guy is going to make some stupid mistakes. So the other players are not offended by his boasting because they are going to use it to their advantage. Now the yes part of being ticked off is because the other players joined the game to have a good challenging game of poker. Right away it’s evident that this guy doesn’t even belong at this poker table. In addition to this the moves he makes is going to affect the game play.
So what’s the lesson to be learned here? Well, if you are the novice reading this then don’t learn from your mistakes in this case, learn from what we’ve told you here. If you are the experienced poker player that we are talking to then try to just take the good with the bad. There is always one in every crowd, and you just happened to hit the luck of the draw in this particular online poker game.
Now there are two ways to go about this. You could be Mr. Nice guy and try and tone the novice down a bit with some friendly advice. Then you could just take him for everything he’s worth. I guess it’s all going to depend on just how much he has irked you from the beginning.
So a word of wisdom to the novice. Join the game, keep your mouth shut, and learn from the experienced. If you do, in no time at all you will be the experienced player facing the new novice that is sure to come along.
I’m fairly new to the game of online poker, I have been playing for only 8 weeks now and I am learning more each day, Happy to say though that I don’t carry on like that which is more than I can say for alot of people I have played against. Hit the nail on the head.
I’ve played against people like this, I’ve taken the method of helping them with their poker mentality and also taken the method of just taking the players for all their worth because it’s far too easy, not sure which i prefer.
I can’t stand getting into a good online game and being surrounded by people who appear all too eager to show you that they have no idea what they are doing, It’s irritating even though they’re money is easy pickings.
Poker dealing is an art. Look at some of the ice pick movies that revolve around poker. Dealing pokers are highly respected for their art . Bond actually is the dealer a million dollars once he wins the game! Dealers rake in high profits. The profits should justify their competitors. Individual dealing style makes dealers look different. Poker dealers take high grade in the way they deal the cards and there are certain cardinal rules when it comes to dealing. If you play avoid those basic mistakes.
Some pokers don’t accept they are newers . but if they entered into poker room and starts playing, they begin playing poker in few minutes. We can get bet to this newbee types in the chat box he is going to be marked for what he really is, which is a recruit!
The cardinal sin of poker is display emotions that gives away what you were holding.If you are online and feel the raises and falls you can decide to fold your purses .Sometimes you can get a big bag.. At your own place you can pledge and curse your bad luck but if you are in front of the Main Event, you need to sit still even if you want to break the table in upwards .

I have, on a fair few occasions, been in an online poker tournament where I have purposely made some poor plays in order to lul the oponnents into a false sense of security with them believing that I was not a very good player at all, always worked out well for me in the end, but I don’t do it all the time, you have to make sure you do it well so they don’t catch on.
I find stressballs to be a great thing to have near by in a stressful game of poker, especially if it’s a long running tournament that is getting on your nerves.
