Why to Play Online Poker

Nowadays there are a whole lot of games available for the player and when it comes to online world there is an even wider range, so why should you choose to play poker instead of the other million games available? There are various reasons to play poker, but the most important is that when you play online poker you not playing against the “house”, instead you are playing against a sentient, breathing and living human. The house always wins, but some players can win money to other players.

Of course the house is keeping a small amount of money of each hand or “rake”, but this is not a problem if you are better player than the rest, as this rake is less than 10% in most part of the games, usually less in high roller tournaments. The difference is noticeable because the house is renting the seat to the player but is not skewing the game to their own favor as it happens with blackjack, roulette etc… The house is not winning money if you lose money, the house is winning money if you play so, the game is not made for you to lose.

Another reason is the luck factor. Poker is not a game about luck; it is a game about skill as it is chess. The only difference is that in chess you know what is your opponent doing, while in poker you don’t know what is he holding, but still it is a mathematically based game because it is based in odds instead of absolute values. If a player is skilled enough can expect to get a constant income from his poker gaming as he would if playing in real life against other people. The good thing is that anyone thinks he can play online poker, and that’s the reason for it to be a profitable game, a lot of fish come around to bite your bait, and there you are with your fishing rod ready to catch their money.

Another reason is the social factor. As you are playing against sentient people you get more entertainment as it happens with other online games. Some videogames are fun, but are much funnier if they are played online because you get the social factor and get amused by actually winning to another human instead of winning to a cold machine. Not only it is more entertaining, it allows you to play more time without getting bored.

The final reason is the quality of the sites. While there are online casinos everywhere, they must not be very good or offer good bonuses to player because even a few number of players will give them profits. As poker is played in community the sites need a good amount of player to get profit and thus, they give more bonuses to players as well as much better loyalty programs and customer support. Anyone can start running an online casino with some software, but only big companies have poker rooms.

I agree, I have been into a few casinos and sportsclubs but they don’t interest me very much. I prefer to play in the comfort of my own home whenever I like.

I play online because I think I win more frequently online than I do when I go to a casino, and I get more control over who I play.

just enjoying the game, why should anyone play poker for money? The answer is a blank for most people, But there is some reason. Poker is a game where study, trying to improve and hard work pay off. There is no poker equal to taking golf lessons that make some aspect of your playing better but that screw up those which is well. The only close parallel in the studying process involved in poker is something like once you know how to successfully cheat you have to still maintain patience and not try to bluff every single hand.

Even among somewhat intelligent players, the lust for shortcuts overwhelm the players. They crave easy answers to complex problems. They want to be told an answer rather than learn it — despite the fact that knowledge does not give any success.

Is it a reasonable thing, I ask you, for a grown man to run about and hit a ball? Poker’s the only game fit for a grown man. Then, your hand is against every man’s, and every man’s is against yours. Teamwork? Who ever made a fortune by teamwork? There’s only one way to make a fortune, and that’s to down the fellow who’s up against you. ~W. Somerset Maugham

All people play poker simply as they like the game. They think as poker seems as game like chess or backgammon and skill levels create a fun and interesting challenge and viewing poker as view blackjack and craps, but if you are lucky , win a little money. If you are a fun player, that is also good.

Some people play poker just meet others to make friends and connections over a poker table. If you like that way , you play poker over online poker, and make friends chat function online. If you’re playing opposite to a social player, you have to make a friendly situation.

The truth is that only some poker players are long-term winners. Many are not spending all of their time at final tables. The most of them are either in casinos playing very few times and limits .commonly these days, multi-tabling for ten or so hours at a time online. If you have a group of people, the move to and fro of being a poker professional can be very tough.

There are few things that are so unpardonably neglected in our country as poker. The upper class knows very little about it. Now and then you find ambassadors who have sort of a general knowledge of the game, but the ignorance of the people is fearful. Why, I have known clergymen, good men, kind-hearted, liberal, sincere, and all that, who did not know the meaning of a “flush.” It is enough to make one ashamed of the species. ~Mark

“To improve as a poker player is difficult”. Watch many pokers and you agree the words.. people are able to handle all new concepts: don’t lick frozen things ; don’t put your hand on a hot place ; don’t wear your clothes inside-out. when it comes to poker, they simply can’t prevent their anger, tricky and inflexibility from overriding their play.
