Gunshot straight: A straight which is filled inside, this is having only 1 rank to complete it or 4 outs. For example if you have 34s and flop comes with 5, 7, K you can only fill the straight with a 6 inside. If you hit this hand you have made a gunshot straight.
Gutshot: The action of trying to get a gunshot straight. In the above situation, if you called a bet to draw a card to take a gunshot straight, you just made a gutshot.
H
Heads up: When only two players remain in a table. Although the game has the same rules, it usually has different rakes.
Hit: A draw or card that makes a good hand for you. To hit a hand is to get it when a card shows up on the table.
Hot Pot: A pot with a lot of money into it.
Hot Table: A table where players are playing very aggressively and, as a result, the average pot is much higher than other tables of the same limit.
House: The host of the games, or the site where you are playing. The house in a poker game makes profit of the game by taking a rake of each hand or a fee for each player in a tournament.
