hmm Honestly i had never even thought about or given any consideration to any of these aspects of playing in a brick and mortar casino until i actually read this article so thanks i don't think that i will be stepping foot back inside a casino to play poker again any time soon, i think that it is about time i got with the times and started to play online poker instead, seems to be a much safer way to go, damm those dodgy dealers, sneaky indeed.

The other things you miss out on by playing online poker:
1- Drunken idiots putting you off your game (unless you are playing at a party in which case this will probably still occur)

2- Pretty flashing and neon lights causing you to not only be distracted but to also lose track of time with so much bright lighting causing night to look like day

3- Having to get all dressed up to sit around and play your favourite game

4- Table "stalkers" I don't know if you have ever experieced this but i refer to the people who follow you from table to table, not playing but just observing your game playing techniques from a slight distance, as table stalkers, they watch you for ages and then finally play you after quite a considerable amount of time watching you and if you haven't been aware of their presence then they will usually beat you, where as if you have seen them whilst you were playing then you simply just have to change your game play up a little to put them off

and last but not least number 5- People following you around once you have had a win!

Lol I agree with everything that is said here. I have had a fair few of my friends give me grief about playing online poker instead of what they refer to as the "real poker" in the brick and mortar casinos. Well i have alot less to lose in online poker and heaps more to gain than what i do when playing in a brick and mortar casino. It's convienient, safe and much more fun for me. Heaps of dealers are masters when it comes to slight of hand, they are so skilled at it that no one ever really notices what they are doing because they are very quick at it and usually find some kind of way to distract you whilst they are doing it too. Very sneaky!
