Poker is played by millions of people all around the world. For most it can be an intense and very serious game. Online poker nowadays has become all the rage because you have so many poker sites to play on without ever leaving the comfort of your own home. There are many advantages to playing online compared to playing in a poker parlor or casino that many people take for granted. With all the seriousness surrounding this ever popular game there are many very funny stories that have arisen during this game of cards.
One such story comes from Tunica, MS from one of the Casino’s there, one Thursday night last year. Players, dealers and managers all agree what they saw was one of the funniest things they had ever seen and will make them laugh for a long time.
An extremely intoxicated man identified as a Michigan tourist seemed to have a very difficult time figuring out the differences between on and offline poker.
.When he started playing he kept accusing the other players of not revealing their numbers. When asked what he meant he reiterated that he should be able to see the other players’ numbers, stating that the players were hiding their chip numbers and they were cheating.
At first the players were confused and just let the comment pass. It wasn’t until he repeated this several times that player’s realized he thought he was playing online! He took a washroom break and when he came back he was furious he wasn’t dealt in because he said he pressed post before he left and because he requested time bank he should be able to make it to the can and back in time for the hand!!
After yelling and cursing for a while he seemed to sink into an inebriated silence but as the evening went on he continued to display even clearer signs that he was just not able to discern between the on land poker game he was partaking in and the online version he obviously was used to playing. To add to the confusion he would, before the action on his hand even got close to him, would yell out to raise, call and fold.
Then he would become very frustrated and confused when his chips didn’t automatically go to the pot in the middle of the table.
When he won a hand he never tipped the dealer and was angry he had to stack his own chips. One of the funniest parts is when he missed hands because he kept walking over to the cashier to determine how much money was in his account!
One would have to say that this poor old soul was a bit confused, don’t you think? If you are looking for a bit more poker humor then you have got to read lighten up your poker game.
Lol classic, you know you have been having one hell of a great time when you aren’t even sure as to whether you are playing online or in a real life casino haha. Personally if i had found myself in that situation I would be very confused and concerned also if i truely felt that i was playing online but nothing that would usually happen during my online games was actually working as it should be. I would have loved to have seen this all take place, would have been very amusing, thanks for sharing.
I don’t care how much money I would have lost on a night like that no matter how much money i had lost if i had lost any at all, nothing could stop me from smiling about seeing something like that, how hilarious that must have been once the dealer and the other players realised that this person thought that they were playing online and had no realisation that they were playing in a real in person casino, i wonder how he logged out after he had enough of poker for the night?
